Gas prices still high
You've heard this before -- the price of gas just went up again!
The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.87. In the D.C. metro area, the average is at $4.08, with Maryland at $3.89 and Virginia the cheapest in our area at $3.79
With so many people commuting long distances, the rising numbers are terrifying to many.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll says 6 out of 10 Americans are cutting back on driving.
"I have a van that costs almost a hundred dollars to fill it up," said Jennifer Bevacqua-Delaconcepion. “I have to drive. I have small children so I need the flexibility of getting home quickly."
Al Pelgram lives in Accokeek, and his gas bill skyrocketed to over $400 a month, he said. Now he's taking metro and says he eats less. Losing weight is an added benefit, he joked.
Jim Candleabria no longer commutes by car to and from Alexandria every day, either. “I still have to drive around to other offices all over the place and I feel it there too," he said.
Analysts expect the big five oil companies to report an increase in earnings between 20 and 45 percent.
It may feel like summer outside, but we haven't even hit the summer driving season, leaving commuters across the metro area worried that it's going to get worse before it gets better.
