April 26, 2011 - 06:08 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - D.C. officials are preparing to spray ginkgo trees around the city to prevent the unpleasant odor of its fruits.
The District Department of Transportation's Urban Forestry Administration will begin spraying the popular trees on Tuesday night. The spraying will begin in Wards 1, 2 and 6 where the trees are most prevalent and will then continue in the other wards.
The treatment will be done over the next few nights.
