Howard Ray Barnes sentenced for dealing heroin

A counselor at a D.C. women’s shelter was sentenced to 11 years in prison Wednesday for selling heroin from the shelter and his home.
Howard Ray Barnes, 60, of Capitol Heights, Md., was found guilty of distributing heroin, possessing with intent to sell and a gun charge.
Authorities said Barnes sold heroin from the parking lot of the women's shelter of D.C. General Hospital in the District and from his home.
