Two shot on 14th St.
Two people were shot in downtown D.C. Thursday. The shooting occurred at 14th and V Streets Northwest shortly before 3 p.m.
ABC7's Natasha Barrett reports two men were shot, both in the ankle. The victims are 19 and 20-years-old. Initial reports said one person was shot in the foot. Both are being treaded at a local hospital.
Several blocks of 14th Street were closed after the shooting. Police began re-opening the blocked streets around 5 p.m.
According to Police, a green Honda pulled up and people inside started shooting at the two men, one of whom was walking and one was riding a bike.
D.C. Councilmember Jim Graham was at the scene Thursday afternoon and told ABC7 he suspects the shooting is connected with gang violence.
