15-year-old charged with felony for spiking teacher's coffee with staples

A 15-year-old boy was charged with felony assault in Greene County for putting staples in a teacher's iced coffee, police say.
The William Monroe High School Teacher unknowingly ingested the staples on May 10, according to a statement from the Greene County Sheriff's Office.
The juvenile was charged with a felony at an intake hearing on Monday. He was present at the hearing with his parents and his attorney.
A court date has not been set.
