Average gas prices in Va. at $3.87

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia motorists are paying about 8 cents a gallon more for gasoline than they were a week ago.
According to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge, the average cost of a gallon of regular gasoline is about $3.87 in Virginia, up from about $3.79 a week ago. A year ago, gas prices averaged about $2.80 a gallon.
Across Virginia, average regular gasoline prices range from about $3.89 a gallon in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Newport News to $3.76 in Charlottesville.
The national average price is $3.95, up nine cents from a week ago.
