Baltimore-Washington airport sets more monthly traffic records
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is continuing to get busier and busier, as the facility broke their all-time passenger traffic record for March two months ago.

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley announced Wednesday that nearly 1.9 million people traveled through BWI in March, a 3.3 percent year-to-date increase. Over the past year, traffic at the airport has increased by six percent.
BWI has set monthly records in 21 of the past 22 months and has grown for 13 straight months.
"The performance of BWI Marshall is important because of the role it plays in our economy," O'Malley said. "It serves as Maryland's gateway to the world."
Southwest Airlines, the airport's largest carrier, saw an 11.5 percent increase in traffic since last March.
