Three injured when bus hits KFC in Glenmont

Three people were injured Friday morning when a bus crashed into a fast food restaurant in Glenmont, fire officials say.
Montgomery County Fire says that a county RideOn bus ran into a KFC restaurant in the 12400 block of Georgia Ave. The accident will close the far right lane of northbound Georgia Avenue for at least one to two hours.
The driver of the bus and a passenger were taken to an area hospital for evaluation. A third injured person was treated at the scene.
The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. The KFC was significantly damaged and is not expected to open today.
