Christopher Eduard Suarez charged with reckless driving in fatal Logmill Road accident
The driver in last month's fatal accident on Logmill Road in Haymarket has been charged with reckless driving, police say.
Prince William County Police say that 18-year-old Christopher Eduard Suarez of Gainesville is being held without bond.
Police say that Suarez was behind the wheel of a 2005 Dodge Magnum when it struck a deer, causing him to lose control of the car and hit a tree.
Two 15-year-old girls, Kendra Kaeleen Tucker of Gainesville and Savanna Kidane Mouratidis of Haymarket, died in the crash. A 14-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy from Gainesville were also injured.
The accident was one in a series of fatal incidents on that stretch of Logmill Road. Legislators approved $2.4 million worth of road improvements for the area earlier this week.
