Cody Hahn found guilty in death of friend, Aaron Mack
May 5, 2011 - 01:01 pm
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — A Thurmont man has been convicted of negligent manslaughter in a car crash that killed his friend.
Twenty-one-year-old Cody Hahn was convicted Thursday in Frederick County Circuit Court after entering an Alford plea to the charge. An Alford plea is an acknowledgement that that state had enough evidence for a conviction had the case gone to trial.
Hahn will be sentenced July 19.
He was charged in the July 5 death of 22-year-old Aaron Mack.
Police say Mack was a passenger in Hahn's car when Hahn lost control of the vehicle on North Franklinville Road at nearly 100 mph.
His Chevrolet Cobalt broke a utility pole, hit another vehicle, overturned and took out a porch.
