CHANTILLY, Va. (AP) - Travelers using Dulles International Airport have a new international destination.

Icelandair this week kicked off seasonal service from Dulles to Keflavik International Airport outside the capital of Reykjavik. The nonstop flights will be offered four days a week.

The service was initially scheduled to run from May through September. But Icelandair CEO Birkir Holm Gudnasson said service will continue through January, then resume in March.

The addition of Reykjavik gives Dulles 48 international destinations on five continents.

For years, Icelandair operated service out of Thurgood Marshall Baltimore-Washington International Airport, providing some of the region's cheapest European fares. But Icelandair pulled out of BWI in 2008.
