Dump truck hits pedestrian in NE

A dump truck struck a pedestrian Wednesday morning in Northeast D.C..

The incident occurred at 11 a.m. in the 1700 block of Benning Road NE.

Police say the victim has been taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The dump truck driver stayed at the scene.
