Fanny Raquelina Romero Henriquez arrested on child neglect, cruelty charges

The Leesburg Police Department and Loudoun County Child Protective Services are investigating a former employee of a daycare center after she was arrested for child cruelty and neglect.
Police say they arrested Fanny Raquelina Romero Henriquez, 29, of Leesburg on May 6 on charges of child cruelty, child neglect and failure to report an incident to CPS. The incident allegedly occurred on April 21 at the Kiddie Academy in Leesburg to a six-week-old infant.
She was a teacher at the facility when the incident occurred.
The infant required medical care, and the injuries were not reported until eight days after they occurred.
Romero Henriquez was released after posting $7,500 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
