May 20, 2011 - 10:48 pm
Several people were hurt in a car crash Friday evening when they were apparently returning from prom, D.C. fire officials said. The crash occurred around 9 p.m. in the 500 block of Southern Avenue Southeast.
Fire officials say a second crash happened a short time later in the 4400 block of Barnaby Street Southeast. That crash was a hit-and-run.
Three people were taken to area hospitals, according to fire officials. Their injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
