George Mason U. tuition, fees increasing
May 11, 2011 - 11:51 am
Students at George Mason University will take a hit to their pocketbooks.
The university’s Board of Visitors voted to raise tuition, fees and room and board for in-state and out-of-state undergraduate students for the 2011-2012 school year.
The annual cost for in-state tuition will increase by $1,012, or 5.7 percent. For out-of-state students, tuition will increase by $1,726, or 5 percent.
The BOV stated it needed to raise tuition and fees so the university “can continue to provide its students and the region with academic programs of the highest caliber.”
