Mayor Vincent Gray has named the director of the District Department of Transportation and medical director for D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

Gray named Terry Bellamy as the permanent director of DDOT. Bellamy has been serving as the interim director of DDOT since the beginning of Gray’s administration. He has worked at DDOT since 2008.

Gray also named David Miramontes as D.C. Fire EMS medical director. Miramontes is an emergency medicine attending physician, faculty member and EMS director at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, OH.

“Both of these men are experienced and distinguished in their respective fields,” said Gray. “Terry Bellamy is a proven professional who has demonstrated innovative leadership at every level and has done an effective job moving DDOT forward as Interim Director. David Miramontes is a newcomer to the District, but has extensive medical expertise and experience with government agencies and emergency medical services.”
