Hector Ayala, fallen Montgomery County officer, honored at National Law Enforcement Memorial
The family of fallen Montgomery County Police officer Hector Ayala is on hand to see him honored at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial today.
Ayala, 31, was killed in a car accident on April 5, 2010 in on Randolph Road in Wheaton. He was responding to an emergency call from a fellow officer who needed backup.
His wife, Melissa, was pregnant with triplets at the time of his death.
Ayala's name was added to the memorial, which was dedicated in 1991 and contains the names of over 19,000 fallen officers, on Thursday.
