Loudoun County Sheriff searching for Chevrolet Cobalt in hit-and-run
May 12, 2011 - 09:56 pm
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says that they believe the vehicle involved in Thursday's hit-and-run accident in Ashburn is a dark-colored Chevrolet Cobalt.
Authorities say that just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, a 55-year-old woman was crossing Gloucester Parkway at Ashby Ponds Boulevard when she was struck by a small, four-door car with a rear spoiler and alloy rims.
The driver, believed to be male, fled. Police believe that the car likely has front-end passenger side and undercarriage damage.
The victim was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
