Jamier Bamarni charged with burglary, assault in home invasion
A Herndon man was arrested and charged with burglary, grand larceny and assault and battery Tuesday in connection with a home invasion, police say.
City of Fairfax Police say that 28-year-old Jamier Bamarni forced his way into an apartment in the 4000 block of Hallman Street early Tuesday morning and assaulted the occupant.
An investigation found that Bamarni entered an apartment building and sat in the stairway. When a resident opened the door and discovered him sitting there, Bamarni attempted to get in. Another resident heard the commotion and opened the door, when the suspect ran up the stairs, forced his way into that apartment and punched the victim in the face.
Bamarni then locked himself in the apartment and had to be extracted by force. He is being held without bond.
