Jerry Calixte sentenced to 135 months in prison on drug and gun charges
A College Park man was sentenced on Thursday to 11 years-plus in prison after pleading guilty to drug and gun charges.
U.S. District Judge Alexander Williams Jr. sentenced 26-year-old Jerry Calixte, who goes by the alias "Roach," on charges of conspiring to distribute cocaine and being a felon in possession of a gun.
According to Calixte's plea, he purchased cocaine and converted some of it to crack and sold both. A search warrant served last Aug. 17 on two residences in College Park and Takoma Park led to the seizure of two pistols, 113 rounds of ammunition, 68 grams of crack, 93 grams of cocaine, scales, a ledger and $6,700.
The plea also states that Calixte attempted to purchase multiple kilograms of cocaine from a source in Texas. He was prohibited from possessing a gun after he had previously been convicted of a felony.
