Leesburg couple arrested after practicing dentistry without a license
May 13, 2011 - 10:06 am
A Leesburg couple was arrested late last month after they were found to be running and operating an unlicensed dentist's office out of the basement of their home.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office charged Nelson A. Castro-Diaz, 47, and Matilde A. Lindarte-Vargas, 35, with practicing medicine without a license.
An investigation by the Gang Intelligence Unit found that the couple's home at 1240 Tennessee Drive in Leesburg contained a full-service dental office, examination room, receptionist desk and waiting room.
The Sheriff's office says that the operation apparently catered to the Latino community.
Castro-Diaz and Lindarte-Vargas are free on bond.
