Man rescued from Potomac
May 24, 2011 - 11:10 pm
A man fell into the Potomac River near the Washington Harbour Tuesday evening and had to be rescued by boat by the fire department.
Fire officials says the man was removed from the water and taken to Thompson's Boat House.
"I saw this man lose his balance and fall in, but could not get out. I ran for help!" wrote Rebecca Merwin, who send a photo of the scene to ABC7.
Around 9:45 p.m., fire officials say the man was taking pictures when he fell in the river. He is being transported to an area hospital.
