Waytes arrested for Capitol Heights murder

Steven Donnell Waytes, 26, has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the May 27 shooting of Jimmie Lee Hunter, 34, in Capitol Heights, police say.
Prince George's County Police say Waytes was identified as a suspect in the murder of Hunter and a warrant was obtained for his arrest on June 7.
Waytes, of the 4200 block of Barnaby Road S.E. in Washington, was arrested without incident Firday. He is awaiting extradition from D.C.
On Friday, May 27, police were called at approximately 7:25 p.m. because of a shooting. When they arrived on scene in the 1700 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Capitol Heights, they found Hunter, unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
He was later identified as Jimmie Lee Hunter of the 3700 block of Gull Road in Temple Hills.
