Megabus to offer Frederick to D.C. service
May 5, 2011 - 08:21 am
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - Frederick residents traveling to Washington will soon be able to take advantage of a new discount bus service.
Megabus.com will begin stopping in Frederick next Wednesday as part of a daily route from Pittsburgh, Pa., to Washington. The buses will stop at the Monocacy Rail Station on Genstar Drive at 11:10 a.m. and 6:50 p.m.
Amanda Mullin, a spokeswoman for megabus.com, says the company will offer one-way tickets for as low as $1 to people who book ahead. Riders can book up to 45 days in advance and prices are cheaper the further in advance they are booked.
The 56-seat buses offer free Wi-Fi and power outlets.
