Metro track work to affect four lines this weekend
More track work on the Metrorail system will cause hangups on all but the Green Line this weekend.
WMATA says that work on the Blue, Yellow, Red and Orange lines will cause single-tracking starting at about 9:30 p.m. Friday and ending when the system closes on Sunday night.
Here's a rundown on what you can expect on the rails. As always, Metro encourages you to add time to your commute.
Blue/Yellow Lines
Blue Line trains will single-track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant. Yellow Line trains will single-track between Braddock Road and Pentagon City.
On Saturday and Sunday, Blue Line and Yellow Line trains will only operate every 30 minutes.
Red Line
Red Line trains will single-track in two places: between Grosvenor-Strathmore and Twinbrook, and between New York Avenue-Florida Avenue-Gallaudet and Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood. Trains will operate across the line about every 16 minutes and will run every 6-10 minutes between Friendship Heights and New York Avenue.
Orange Line
Single-tracking will occu between Ballston and West Falls Church. On Saturday and Sunday, every other train in the direction of Vienna-Fairfax will terminate at Ballston.
