Tom Gorzelanny (1-2) scattered three hits over 8 shutout innings, and Drew Storen pitched a scoreless 9th to pick up his 6th save as the Washington Nationals defeated the San Francisco Giants 2-0 Monday night.
The Nationals scored both of their runs in the seventh inning courtesy of a Michael Morse RBI single and a Jerry Hairston RBI double.
Washington (14-14) has won 4 of its last 5 games and is now at .500 on the season. Next up for the Nationals is a 3-game series against the Phillies starting Tuesday in Philadelphia.
