Man stabs his brother in Fairfax County
Two brothers were hospitalized Monday night after one stabbed the other in their Burke, Va., home. The younger, a 25-year-old, was in life-threatening condition at one point but was expected to survive.
Neighbors at the townhome complex said they heard a woman calling for help, screaming that her brother had stabbed her other brother.
“One of my son’s friends brothers got stabbed by his other brother,” said Lisa Smith, a neighbor.
Police said the stabbing occurred around 9 p.m. in the 10500 block of Oak Bluff Court. Two men were injured, the 25-year-old and a 28-year-old male.
Residents of the townhome complex say the young man who stabbed his brother has a history of mental illness. Neighbor Nemo Randzo said the sister said her brother had recently stopped taking medication.
Fairfax County Police are investigating.
