Oprah Withdrawal?
May 24, 2011 - 04:44 pm
Hundreds of fans who waited in line outside Oprah Winfrey’s TV studio in Chicago scored tickets to be part of history, to be in the audience of her final talk show taping Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday’s taping comes a week after Hollywood’s A-list and 13,000 fans bid Oprah farewell during a double episode at Chicago’s United Center, including Aretha Franklin, Tom Cruise, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jordan and Madonna.
“I think people are enthralled that she's done so well for herself,” said fan Dave McCarthy.
And Oprah isn’t just for the women out there. Some men admitted to watching the show.
“It can be very emotional at times and everybody's crying,” said Omar Truitt, who said he was too tough to cry.
