Pedestrian killed in car crash on I-295

A 25-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car and killed in an accident on I-295 southbound Sunday, the D.C. Police Department said.
A Chevy Blazer was traveling southbound on I-295 in the right lane early Sunday morning. The driver struck a pedestrian, was walking in the middle of the interstate, near the East Capitol Street exit.
The Chevy driver remained on the scene. D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded but found the victim showed no signs of life. He was pronounced dead and transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Brian Lee of Southeast D.C.
