May 20, 2011 - 06:06 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia police say they've made a second arrest in a homicide from last September.
Police say they arrested 28-year-old Phillip Crooms on Thursday. He's accused in the death of 29-year-old Delonte Butler, who was found dead in a single-vehicle car accident early on Sept. 25 in southeast Washington. Police say Butler's car was on fire, and he was later found to have been shot as well.
Police say Crooms has been charged with first-degree felony murder.
They did not release information on a motive, and it wasn't immediately clear how or if Crooms knew Butler or whether Crooms has a lawyer.
