Second arrest made in homicide of Delonte Butler

Detectives arrested a suspect in the homicide of 29-year-old Delonte Butler, police reported Thursday.
Phillip Crooms of Southeast D.C. was arrested Thursday and charged with First Degree Felony Murder by members of the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. The 28-year-old is the second person arrested in this case.
Butler was found dead in a burning car in the 3700 block of First Street Southeast by officers on Sept. 25 of last year. The subsequent investigation revealed he had been shot.
