Security increased in Reston after incident
May 18, 2011 - 05:12 pm
Two children were walking to school on a bike path in Reston Monday when, police say, a man came up to them and had a gun.
The 11- and 12-year-old ran into Woodson Elementary School and told their teacher what happened.
The man got away. Parents received an email about the incident.
Now, police officers are increasing patrol on bike.
Reston is filled with bike paths that are sometimes isolated. Some parents aren't letting their children walk to and from school now.
