Silver Alert: Adela Shephard-Barett found

The woman reported missing from her Accokeek home has been found.

Adela Shephard Barett, 66, returned home Monday morning. She is safe. Her son said she took a weekend getaway and didn't tell her children.

Barett was last seen leaving her Accokeek home around 10:30 Friday night.

She told her niece she was driving to her daughter's home in Arlington. But she never showed.

Maryland State Police issued a silver alert, officially listing Barett as missing.
