Six suspected gang members arrested
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested six gang members Monday evening in Annapolis. A spokesperson with ICE says a targeted search warrant was served today along with Annapolis City Police and Anne Arundel County Police.
The agency said the arrested had "known ties to the brown pride gang."
"The six illegal aliens are currently being held by ICE on administrative immigration charges, pending criminal charges from the State of Maryland," the agency said.
The raid took place around 7 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Generals Highway, about two blocks Westfield Annapolis Mall. Sources say drugs and money were also found in the house.
"Today we significantly impacted an illegal enterprise which will surely go far in keeping Annapolis safe," said Annapolis Police Chief Michael Pristoop. "Our work is by no means done."
