Toddler found alone in Sterling

Police say they have contact with a relative of a toddler was found alone in Sterling, Va., on Tuesday. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, police said.
The boy, about two years old, was wandering the 600 block of West Poplar Road, the Loudoun County’s Sheriff’s office said. He was found around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Guilford Elementary School, not wearing any shoes.
Sheriff’s Deputies canvassed the area and have been unable to locate any family members. They were initially looking for the public’s assistance in identifying the boy.
