Traffic delays on I-495

Traffic was backed up for several miles on I-495 southbound on the American Legion Bridge because of a crash involving a tractor trailer, truck and two vehicles.
The crash, in Fairfax County, had traffic backed up for at least three miles in Montgomery County. It occurred at about 1:45 p.m.
Virginia State Police Spokesperson Corinne Geller said one of the cars was pinned under the tractor trailer with the occupants trapped. But all injuries were minor.
By 3:45 p.m., all lanes were open but some traffic delays remained.
