WWII vets honored
May 24, 2011 - 07:00 pm
Forty-seven World War II veterans filed off the Honor Flight at Reagan National welcomed by some of their own.
Coming from Dallas to Washington D.C., the troops are getting to tour the monument built in their honor. It’s a first for almost all of them.
With 60 students in tow as part of a new ambassador program with American Airlines, the veterans are serving as walking text books for students of all ages.
