How will you say goodbye to Oprah?
On Tuesday, diana.legal wrote this touching farewell: "We will miss your enthusiasm and gentility. Your shows have been informative, uplifting, soul-searching and created an awakening to those in need. Many people have benefited from your kindness and generosity. On behalf of all, I would like to say thank you for the years of sharing with all of America. As my favorite Aunt would have said, "you are building a large mansion in heaven." We will not say goodbye, just I will see you later."
Missing U, who self-identifies as a "true fan," wrote: "Oprah, you are my she-ro. I can't express how much you will be missed. I have recorded your shows faithfully for the past 4 years and have watched the Oprah show faithfully for many many years. I'm encouraged by you and know that if I put my mind to it, my dreams will come true just as your dreams have come true..."
When we saw a user named iloveoprah, we knew it would be a good one. Here's an excerpt from this person's farewell: "You have made a long lasting impact on the way we live, feel and think. No one else but you could do that! I know even when your last show ends, your legacy will go on. It goes on in the hearts of all of us who have been so lucky and blessed to call ourselves your fans, those of us lucky enough to love you..."
TOMORROW: Wednesday's best farewells.
