10 killed in Va. accidents during Memorial Day weekend

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - State Police say 10 people died in accidents on Virginia roads during the Memorial Day weekend.
State Police said Wednesday that three of the fatalities involved motorcycles. Two of the 10 victims were ages 6 and 8.
Last year 11 people died during the four-day holiday period.
State Police responded to 642 crashes statewide. They also cited nearly 9,000 speeders and 2,500 reckless drivers, arrested 132 individuals on drunken driving charges, and issued 941 safety belt and 335 child safety seat violations.
