5 D.C. bridges to be repaired this summer
June 10, 2011 - 06:18 am
WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia transportation officials say they're repairing five Anacostia Freeway bridges this summer.
The work is being done on the bridges over the Anacostia Park entrance, Howard Road, Suitland Parkway, Firth Sterling Avenue and South Capitol Street.
Officials say drivers should prepare for delays, but temporary signs and road control measures will be in place to help guide them through the area.
There will be single lane closures on the Anacostia Freeway, and two lanes of traffic maintained in each direction.
