Anthony Ross, former D.C. teacher, pleads guilty
June 24, 2011 - 01:26 pm
A former D.C. teacher pleaded guilty Friday to a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
Anthony Ross, 42, was required to register as a sex offender after he was convicted in 1999 of having sex with a 15-year-old student while he was a teacher, attendance counselor and assistant coach at H.D. Woodson High School.
Authorities said Ross moved to Ohio and didn’t notify authorities or register as a sex offender there. Authorities apprehended him in the fall.
He faces up to 10 years in prison.
