Bethesda motorcycle crash kills two
Two people are dead after a motorcycle loss control on the River Road exit ramp on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway in Bethesda, Maryland State Police say.
Police identified the driver of the motorcycle as Christopher Kieran Walker, 26, of Kensington, Md. The passenger was identified as Kristen Renee D Bell Wolcott, 25, of Hyattsville, Md.
Police say the two persons, believed to be in their mid-20s, were thrown off a Ducati sport motorcycle when it crashed as they were trying to exit the River Road ramp around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday. It appears that they may have missed their turn and hit a guardrail. Both passengers were killed.
Police say the victims were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, but there appears to be no witnesses.
At 6:48 a.m., the River Road ramp reopened after being closed for several hours due to an investigation.
