Capital Barbecue Battle street closures

Grocery chain Safeway is holding its annual National Capital Barbecue Battle this weekend, which means delicious ribs and annoying street closures.
Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed between 9th and 14th Streets Northwest, and 10th, 11th and 12th Streets will be close between Constitution Avenue and E Street Northwest.
Closures started Friday, June 24th at 7 pm. Streets are expected to reopen on Sunday, June 26th at approximately midnight.
At the event, barbecue teams and restaurants compete for cash and prizes worth $40,000 and the title of National Pork Barbecue Champion. Tickets are $10 for adults, $12 for children under 12.
