D.C. heat wave forces more closures Friday
June 10, 2011 - 10:56 am
Though the searing heat that has baked the D.C. metro area is beginning to subside, some facilities are still closing Friday due to a lack of air conditioning.
Today's major closure is the Virginia DMV office at Tysons Corner. The Customer Service Center at 1968 Gallows Road has no air conditioning and will remain closed through the weekend.
The DMV encourages customers who need service to go to their website (www.dmvnow.com) or visit three other nearby locations.
Alternate DMV locations include:
-Fairfax Westfields, 14950 Northridge Drive, Chantilly
-Arlington, 4150 South Four Mile Run Drive
-Fair Oaks, 11805 Fair Oaks Mall
