D.C. man gets 45 years for sexually abusing daughters

A D.C. man was sentenced to 45 years for sexually abusing three of his four daughters over a five year period.

Authorities did not disclose the name of the defendant to protect the privacy of his children.

He was found guilty on April 7 by a D.C. Superior Court jury of 15 counts of first degree sexual abuse of a child and 14 counts of second degree sexual abuse of a child and one count of incest.

He was sentenced today by the Honorable Russell F. Canan, who called the offenses "monstrous" crimes that "struck the core of all decency."
