Delavan Lamont Beam killed in hit-and-run, police search for Navigator

Authorities continue to search for the hit-and-run driver who fatally struck 31-year-old Delavan Beam in Riverdale.
Police say Beam was riding on a motorcycle when he was hit by a Lincoln Navigator that fled the scene. Beam was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The striking vehicle may have damage to its left rear and may be missing the left rear tail light assembly.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call police at (301) 731-4422.
The investigation is ongoing.
Motorcyclist killed by hit-and-run Navigator in Riverdale
Investigators in Prince George's County are continuing to search for leads in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Riverdale early Saturday morning.
Prince George's County Police say that a man on a motorcycle was struck and killed by a Lincoln Navigator at the intersection of Riverdale Road and 63rd Street just before 5 a.m. The Navigator fled the scene.
The victim, 31-year-old Delavan Lamont Beam of Bowie, was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital.
Police say the striking Navigator may have damage to its left rear and may be missing the tail assembly in that area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince George's County Police.
