Elderly man fatally struck while crossing Laurel intersection

An elderly man was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing a Laurel intersection overnight, police say.

The 72-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Route 197 and Route 198 Tuesday night.

The driver of the striking vehicle, a 68-year-old man, remained on the scene.
