Jennifer Greene named head of D.C. unified communications

WASHINGTON (AP) - Jennifer Greene has been appointed the director of the Office of Unified Communications in the District of Columbia.
Greene's appointment was announced by Mayor Vincent Gray. She has served as commander of the police department's Youth Investigations Division, and has also acted a liaison to the office.
The office consolidates emergency 911, non-emergency and 311 calls from the DC police and fire departments.
Gray also announced the appointment of Melissa Hook, the director of the D.C. Office of Victim Services, to lead the Justice Grants Administration.
The JGA administers federal funds for the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
