Julio Esquetini accused of using box cutter to harm family
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A man accused of slitting the throats of his wife and daughters in the family's Crofton home last week has been ordered held without bail.
Julio Cesar Esquetini appeared on Monday on a monitor in District Court in Annapolis. He was arrested last week and faces more than a dozen charges, including attempted second-degree murder.
Police say Esquetini's wife and daughters were attacked early on the morning of June 15. The Baltimore Sun, citing charging documents, reports that Esquetini is accused of using a box cutter to injure his family.
Police say they recovered a box cutter near the basement door of the home.
No motive has been offered for why Esquetini may have harmed his family.
