Leesburg Police arrest suspect in stabbing attack

Leesburg Police arrested a suspect early Monday morning after a 12-year-old boy was stabbed by an attacker.
Police say that at about 9 p.m. Sunday, they responded to a reported stabbing in the 100 block of Fort Evans Road, NE, where they found the victim who had been walking when confronted.
Based on a description of the suspect, early Monday morning about 5:30 a.m., police executed a search warrant in the Town of Leesburg, found the 16-year-old suspect and arrested him. He is currently being held in the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
The victim was treated on scene and then transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Police say he is in stable condition.
